Thanks to Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and mysterious e-mails all over the world, G.I.Joe finds the location of Cobra Island and a scout team is deployed with one goal in mind: bring Optimus Prime back online. Meanwhile the other Joes gear-up for a full-scale assault on the island and they're bringing a piece of the Ark with them! With the opposition mobilising, the only one able to save Cobra could be Megatron - but Cobra Commander will have to release him from his prison for that to happen.
